Advent in the Word: Faithful Footsteps

REFLECTION
This was no small journey. Joseph walked roughly 90 miles with a pregnant Mary to a crowded town during a government census. And yet every step fulfilled prophecy. The Messiah would be born in Bethlehem, just as God had said.

Joseph didn’t have the full picture. He had the next step: go to Bethlehem. That’s often how faith works. We walk in obedience, not always knowing how it fits, but trusting that God’s hand is steady. As you open Scripture this season, let God remind you: He is still leading. Still fulfilling. Still faithful. You don’t need to see the whole path. Just the next step. That’s enough.

Go Deeper: Read Psalm 37:23–24. What step of obedience is God asking you to take right now?

PRAYER
God, guide our feet like You guided Joseph’s. Help us walk in faith, even when the journey is long and the road uncertain. We trust that You are leading us toward Your promises. Amen.
