We place a high priority on protecting your privacy. We will not share or sell donor personal information with anyone else. We will not send donor mailings on behalf of other organizations.

We make every effort to honor donor designation preferences; however, all gifts are subject to the discretion and control of Lutheran Bible Translators. 

What Personally Identifiable Information is Collected


When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, the visitor’s IP address, and browser user agent string to help spam detection.


If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Sign-up Forms

When you sign up to receive Lutheran Bible Translators communications, you voluntarily provide us with your contact information. Lutheran Bible Translators uses information that your computer and internet provider offers to us to help diagnose problems with our server, to administer our website, and for statistical metrics used to track donor and visitor traffic. This lets us see which of our features are the most popular so we can better serve your needs and the needs of others like you.

How Long We Retain Your Data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
