Tongues of Fire
From the original Pentecost to today, people respond to a message when they hear it in their own language. Reserve your calendar for our mission event on Friday evening, May 4, 2018.
Rob Hilbert is currently overseeing the management of multiple literacy and translation projects in Botswana, as well as coordinating with our partners in Botswana, Namibia and South Africa.
Jim Laesch will report on the upcoming Kalanga Bible dedication. The Kalanga people of Botswana will join the elite group of people who speak a language that will have the whole Bible published – one of the less than 9% of the world’s languages that have the whole Bible published.
While we are done celebrating 500 years of the Reformation, the Shekgalagari people of Botswana only have trial portions of Scripture in draft form. But we are not giving up.
As one man said, “We were forced to experience God and know about God in a foreign language.”
We can remove this bondage. Be part of the team that is bringing freedom and dignity.
