Advent Devotion: Luke 2:10-11
Reflection
“But the angel said to them, ‘Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; He is the Messiah, the Lord.’” The angel’s announcement to the shepherds is a proclamation of hope fulfilled. Jesus, the long-awaited Messiah, had been born, bringing salvation to all people.
Advent is a season of joyful anticipation, and this verse reminds us that our hope is not misplaced. God’s faithfulness in sending His Son assures us that His promises are true. This good news is for all people, and it calls us to rejoice in the hope of Christ and share it with the world.
Prayer
Faithful God, thank You for the good news of great joy that Jesus has come to save us. Help us to rejoice in this hope and share it with others. Strengthen our faith as we celebrate Your faithfulness in sending the Messiah. Amen.
