Collaborative ministry and intentional fellowship among ministry workers are essential for the unity and health of the Church. Ministry can be isolating, and without a supportive community, burnout and discouragement can take root. When church workers gather in spaces that foster connection, encouragement, and shared wisdom, they strengthen one another in their calling. These relationships create a culture of unity, where leaders sharpen and uplift each other, reinforcing a collective mission rather than operating in silos. A healthy church thrives when its leaders are refreshed, connected, and reminded that they are not alone in the work of the Gospel.
This year’s Best Practices for Ministry Conference in Phoenix brought together thousands of church leaders, educators, and ministry workers for a weekend of learning, networking, and encouragement. Lutheran Bible Translators (LBT) was privileged to participate in the event, sharing how Bible translation impacts mission outreach and how churches and schools can be part of this vital work.
ENGAGING SCHOOLS IN GLOBAL MISSION
Seth Hinz, LBT’s Chief Marketing Officer, and Jessica Albers, Editorial Lead, introduced Adventures in Bible Translation, LBT’s new school engagement program designed to make chapel programs more impactful for students and families. Their session equipped spiritual formation leaders, from teachers to DCEs, with resources to connect students to the global church through live missionary stories, hands-on activities, and interactive learning. Attendees left with practical tools to inspire their school communities and deepen students’ faith through real-life mission involvement.

From inspiring worship to insightful breakout sessions, Best Practices 2025 was a testament to the power of collaborative ministry. Lutheran Bible Translators looks forward to continuing the conversations ignited at the conference, equipping churches and schools to engage in the mission of Bible translation.
