Advent in the Word: When the Time Comes

REFLECTION
This moment had been anticipated for centuries and yet it came in quiet, earthly simplicity. The time came, not in a palace or temple, but during census travel in a crowded town. The long-awaited Messiah was born to a couple whose names no one outside their village knew.

God’s faithfulness often arrives like this: quietly, humbly, right on time. The “time came” not when everything was perfect, but when God had ordained it. As you reflect on these verses, ask yourself—what if God is fulfilling promises in your life right now, but just not how you expected? Return to the Word. He always keeps His promises. And He is never late.

Go Deeper: Read Galatians 4:4–5. How does Scripture describe the perfect timing of Christ’s birth?

PRAYER

Lord, when the time comes, may we recognize Your hand. Help us not miss the beauty of what You’re doing simply because it doesn’t come as we imagined. Your timing is perfect. Amen.
