Advent in the Word: The Humble Arrival

REFLECTION
Here, in one verse, heaven touches earth. The King of all creation is born. Not into wealth or comfort, but into humility and obscurity. No room. No crib. Just a manger. The faithfulness of God is revealed not in splendor, but in surrender.
This is how God often works: in the overlooked, the ordinary, the unexpected. And this is how His Word still enters hearts—through the simplicity of translated Scripture, shared quietly, yet changing lives forever. When you open your Bible, you meet the same Savior who laid in that manger. The same Word made flesh. Come to Him—not with perfection, but with humility. He delights to meet you there.
Go Deeper: Read Philippians 2:5–11. What does Jesus’ humility tell you about the heart of God?
PRAYER
Jesus, You chose humility to bring us hope. May we never lose the wonder of Your arrival. Thank You for coming low so we could be lifted high. Amen.Â
