Advent in the Word: The Gift of Life

REFLECTION
You’ve likely heard this verse countless times. But slow down and read it again. These are not just the words of Jesus—they’re the heartbeat of the gospel. God gave. Not out of obligation, but out of love. Not to a world that deserved it, but to a world that needed rescue.

Jesus came as the fulfillment of that love. His birth, His life, His death, and His resurrection are the great proof that God hasn’t given up on this world—or on you. And even now, as His Word is translated and shared in languages that have never heard it before, this truth is still changing lives. That’s what Advent celebrates: the love that gave everything—and still gives. Eternal life. Everlasting hope.
