Advent Devotion: Luke 2:12

Reflection

“This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.” The sign given to the shepherds pointed to Jesus’ humble beginnings. God’s faithfulness is evident in the way He revealed His glory through such simplicity. The Savior of the world, born in a manger, showed that God’s love reaches every heart. 

This sign reminds us that hope often comes in ways we don’t expect. God’s faithfulness is not limited by human expectations but exceeds them in ways that reveal His grace. During Advent, we are called to look for signs of God’s faithfulness in our own lives, trusting that He is always working for our good. 

Prayer

Lord, thank You for the sign of hope You gave to the shepherds. Help us to recognize Your faithfulness in our lives and to trust in Your promises. May we find comfort and joy in the humble beginnings of our Savior. Amen.
