Messenger: A Milestone for the Assyrian Bible Translation

For nearly two decades, Demsin Lachin has faithfully led the effort to reproduce the 1893 Assyrian Revised Version Bible. As head translator, his dedication has been instrumental in bringing God’s Word to life for the Assyrian people. The project is now approaching completion; a moment of great celebration and renewed purpose.

For years, the work continued with little support from local churches. Today, that has changed. Five Assyrian congregations have come together to fun the printing of the completed Bible marking a significant shift toward local ownership and engagement.

“We praise God that the community involvement is growing every year,” says Demsin. “Thank you Lutheran Bible Translators, for your guidance, prayers and support.”

Once the Bible are printed, the next phase will begin; leading Bible studies and helping people connect deeply with Scripture in their heart language.

Please pray for Demsin’s continued strength and spiritual encouragement as he prepares to share God’s Word with a new generation of Assyrian believers.
