Advent in the Word: Plans for Peace


REFLECTION

This verse has comforted many hearts, but it’s even more powerful when read in context. God gave this promise to exiles. People uprooted, displaced, and unsure if they’d ever go home. And yet, to them, God said: I know what I’m doing. I have not forgotten you.

God’s plans are often slow, but never absent. When you read Scripture, you’re not reading empty encouragement, you’re reading the living record of a God who keeps His Word. That includes you. Whether you’re facing a future full of questions, or simply craving peace in the present, let this verse lead you to trust again. Not in your plan. In His.

PRAYER
