This verse has comforted many hearts, but it’s even more powerful when read in context. God gave this promise to exiles. People uprooted, displaced, and unsure if they’d ever go home. And yet, to them, God said: I know what I’m doing. I have not forgotten you.

God’s plans are often slow, but never absent. When you read Scripture, you’re not reading empty encouragement, you’re reading the living record of a God who keeps His Word. That includes you.
