Advent Devotion: John 3:16

Reflection

“For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” This verse encapsulates the heart of the gospel: God’s faithfulness in sending His Son for our salvation. His love for the world is not abstract but deeply personal, extending to each of us. 

During Advent, we reflect on the significance of this love. Jesus’ birth was not an ordinary event—it was the fulfillment of God’s plan to save His people. As we prepare our hearts for Christmas, we are reminded that this love gives us hope for today and the promise of eternal life. God’s faithfulness in sending His Son assures us that His promises are true. 

Prayer

God of love, thank You for giving us the gift of eternal life through Jesus. Your faithfulness and love sustain us. Help us to share this hope with others as we celebrate the birth of our Savior. Amen.
