The Power of Global Partnership

After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb.” – Revelation 7:9a

Partnership is the key to successful, timely Bible translation. Translation is not a competition between organizations, but rather a beautiful example of the body of Christ in action.

On February 11, 2024, Lutheran Bible Translators celebrated with the Konso people at the full Bible dedication. This translation was made possible by a longtime relationship with the Finnish Lutheran Mission, Finnish Evangelical Lutheran Mission and Wycliffe Finland.

Mirjami Uusitalo, a missionary worker with Finnish Lutheran Mission, has been living among the Konso people since 1986 and has been a key part of the Konso Bible translation. She became a Bible translation missionary because of an impactful experience with prayer during a summer youth event. At the time of the dedication, she invited the visiting Lutheran Bible Translators team to her home for tea and was a gracious hostess.

Join us in celebrating the beauty of believers coming together from all parts of the globe to share the transforming power of the Gospel.
