In Nigeria, God’s Word is reaching communities through Bible translation, literacy, Scripture engagement, and leadership development led by local churches and ministry partners. These efforts help people engage with Scripture in the language they understand best while building a foundation for lasting ministry.
Across Bokyi, Eleme, Gokana, Jukun Takum, Kukele, Kuturmi, Obe, Tyap, Yala, and other language communities, local teams are expanding access to Scripture through translation, literacy training, community engagement, and the development of future translation leaders. Your prayers and investment help equip Nigerian leaders with the tools and training needed for sustainable Bible ministry, so more people can encounter God’s Word in their heart language for generations to come.

Lutheran Bible Translators is already solving the technical problems related to Bible translation and is supporting students studying translation in Seminary. The partnership will advance translation work in Ethiopia.

Local teams draft, review, and refine translations — ensuring every word reads naturally in the community’s own voice.
Distribution & discipleship
Completed Scripture is distributed and woven into church life, ensuring it’s read, taught, and passed on.
