Advent in the Word: Our Blessed Hope

REFLECTION
The Christian life is lived in between: between Jesus’ first coming and His promised return. That tension—between the already and the not-yet—is the very shape of Advent. We don’t wait aimlessly. We wait with expectation. With eyes lifted. With hope anchored in His faithfulness.
This hope isn’t a fragile feeling. It’s blessed—secured in the person of Christ, who has come and who will come again. His appearing will bring glory, justice, and restoration. But even now, His Word appears. It shows up on pages and in places where it’s never been read before. The glory of Christ is made known every time someone hears the gospel in their own language. As you wait for His return, open the Word and let that blessed hope rise again.
Go Deeper: Read Titus 2:11–14. What does this “hope” teach us about how to live now?
PRAYER
Jesus, our Blessed Hope, fix our eyes on You. While we wait for Your return, shape us by Your Word. Make us ready, watchful, and rooted in grace. Amen.
