Dan speakers pray for the full bible

A Dan speaker’s prayer reignited a translation journey interrupted by civil war, renewing hope for Scripture in their heart language. After a 14-year pause, Lutheran Bible Translators resumed work in 2000, partnering with local churches to complete the full Bible translation.

The Dan community eagerly engages with draft Scripture portions, gathering to read, listen, and discuss God’s Word. With the full Bible drafting complete, the translation now enters a critical checking phase, bringing the Dan people closer to having the complete story of salvation.

About the People:
A vibrant farming community, Dan speakers cultivate rice, cassava, sweet potatoes, maize, cocoa, and coffee, while also raising livestock, embodying resilience and hope.
