Empowering Trauma Survivors to Find Healing and Hope Through Scripture Engagement
The Kuturmi Scripture Engagement program provides a safe environment for those who have experienced trauma in Nigeria to process their emotions and begin healing. Through workshops using materials from “Healing the Wounds of Trauma, How Can the Church Help,” participants explore trauma healing through storytelling, discussion, and shared experiences. The program addresses emotional wounds while empowering participants with coping strategies and resilience, fostering community support among those who have faced similar challenges.
As participants restore their emotional well-being, they also reconnect with Scripture, which trauma often blocks. By engaging with translated Bible texts in their mother tongue, participants deepen their faith and integrate spiritual healing into their recovery. Upon completing the program, individuals return to their communities to establish healing groups, extending the program’s impact. These groups serve as vital Scripture engagement activities, promoting both emotional healing and meaningful community connections through faith-based support.

Healing Hearts Through Scripture
Every trauma survivor deserves the opportunity to find healing through God’s Word in their heart language. Your prayers and financial support equip local facilitators to lead trauma healing workshops that transform lives in Kuturmi communities. As participants engage with Scripture and share their experiences, our prayer is that they not only find personal healing but become agents of restoration in their communities.
