A New Leader for the Bible Translation Movement
Rev. Linus Otronyi, recently appointed as Lutheran Bible
Translators’ Regional Director for West Africa, spent the past few months traveling to connect with leaders from the programs he now oversees. This significant transition is nurtured by the steadfast support of his predecessor, Rev. David Federwitz, whose deep-rooted relationships and unwavering commitment have paved
the way for a seamless handover. Rev. Federwitz’s introductions to key partners have been instrumental in ensuring that the bonds of trust and collaboration remain strong. His continued availability as a mentor and guide reflects a dedication to the mission’s success.
Rev. Linus Otronyi finds profound joy in sharing his calling, expressing, “Anytime somebody asks me, ‘what do you do?’, it gives me an opportunity to talk about what I do and how they can pray for me. So, that gives me joy.”
