Summary
The Digital Marketing Lead drives donor acquisition and engagement through digital channels in alignment with Lutheran Bible Translators’ Responsive Fundraising model. This role manages website content, SEO, digital advertising, and blog publishing while leveraging Avid AI to streamline processes and enhance storytelling. By focusing on creativity, alignment, and continuous learning, the Digital Marketing Manager ensures campaigns are optimized for impact without the burden of manual setup or data wrangling.
The ideal candidate combines strategic curiosity with both analytical and creative strengths—interpreting performance data, testing messaging, and crafting compelling offers. They will analyze campaign results, provide actionable insights, and shape content strategies that respond to donor interests and behaviors in real time.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Paid Advertising & Campaign Management
- Plan, execute, and optimize digital advertising campaigns within Avid AI, focusing on donor acquisition (one-time and monthly donors) and engagement.
- Integrate and maintain Avid AI tools to ensure effective marketing automation, personalization, and analytics.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on campaign performance; present insights and recommendations to the Advancement Team to inform responsive strategies.
- Website & Content Management
- Manage LBT.org to align with organizational goals, brand messaging, and Responsive Fundraising principles.
- Develop and implement SEO/GEO strategies to increase visibility and attract new donors.
- Partner with the Content Team to align storytelling with market demand, leveraging performance metrics, Gloo insights, and search trends to inform the editorial calendar.
- Responsible for uncovering content gaps and overseeing the post-production optimization of assets to secure rankings in both traditional search results and AI-generated answers (GEO).
- Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Work closely with advancement colleagues to ensure unified messaging, maximize impact across channels, and ensure a unified donor experience.
- Stay current with digital marketing trends, tools, and best practices, especially those related to Responsive Fundraising.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Competencies
- Preferred candidate will have a Lutheran background and strong knowledge of the faith
- Top-notch written and verbal communication skills
- Impeccable time management skills with the ability to multitask
- Strong analytical skills; ability to interpret data and translate insights into strategy
- Collaborative, proactive, and detail-oriented
- Commitment to the mission and values of Lutheran Bible Translators, with a passion for donor-centric engagement
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, digital media, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Experience in digital ads management, graphic design, and web design is preferred
- Experience with marketing automation platforms; familiarity with Avid AI and Responsive Fundraising is a bonus
Physical requirements
- Ability to sit for extended periods while using a computer or performing other tasks
- Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 15 pounds
- Ability to travel domestically as required
