Rev. David and Valerie Federwitz

Meet the Missionary

David is the Director of Partnerships and Scripture Engagement.  In this role, he investigates requests for assistance and invitations for new partnership opportunities regularly received by Lutheran Bible Translators.  He also nurtures existing partnerships with Bible societies, national church bodies, and local non-profit organizations worldwide.  Through intentional dialog with these partners and the workers serving in the language projects, David helps them identify the most impactful ways to make God’s Word accessible to more people so they can have a saving relationship with Jesus Christ.

Valerie serves on the member care team, supporting the health and wellbeing of missionaries and office staff through her role as Nutrition and Wellness Advisor.

Rev. David and Valerie Federwitz have served with Lutheran Bible Translators since 2002.  They spent 10 years with the Komba Literacy and Bible Translation Project in Ghana before David served as the West Africa Regional Director.
