The Komba Bible is with the printer, become a donor to bring God’s Word to the community

In the heart of Ghana’s Kombaland, God is writing a remarkable story of faith, unity, and perseverance. Here stands a team with a completed manuscript, looking forward to seeing the full Komba Bible head to print.

Mr. James Wajak is a man whose leadership and peacemaking presence were crucial to getting us to this moment.

Mr. Wajak’s story illustrates the heavenly wisdom described in James 3:13-18. When he joined the team, the program faced several challenges including technology issues (e.g. humidity, dust, spotty internet), but internal team dynamics also slowed progress. Yet, God had prepared Mr. Wajak to handle these challenges.

“If God had not brought James into the translation process, it may have taken two or three years longer to complete.”

David Federwitz,
Lutheran Bible Translators

His background in educational administration brought additional trust, faith, and collaboration to the process. Truly, God had prepared him for this moment. The Komba community respected Mr. Wajak’s experience as well as his connecting approach.

“The community leaders, the chiefs, and the church leaders did a lot to influence and support the project. We made decisions together.” – Mr. Wajak
