As the granddaughter and daughter of Lutheran Bible Translators missionaries in West Africa, Michaela Federwitz grew up with a heart for missions. Having spent the better part of 17 years in Ghana as a missionary kid, Michaela learned the importance of building strong relationships.
“The best thing about being a missionary kid is that I have friends from all over the world. Not just in one country!”
Following her graduation from Saint Paul Lutheran High School in May of 2021, Michaela will serve as a nanny to Rev. Mike and Kara Kuhn’s children in Cameroon, West Africa.
“I have always loved children for as long as I can remember. It brings me so much joy to work with them and give parents a little break. It will be a new experience for me, and I am excited to go back to Africa and do what I love!”
