Hannah Brown – A Helping Hand to Another Missionary Family
Hannah Brown plays a critical part in the Themne translation project as a full-time nanny to missionary families – something she loves dearly. The quality services she provides to the Wagner children allow both Josh and Ruthie to accomplish so much more than would be possible otherwise.
A Little Help Goes a Long Way for a Missionary Family
Josh and Ruthie have four children: Elijah, Isaiah, Josiah and Elizabeth. Hannah’s primary job is to care for the boys while their parents are working, homeschool the oldest child, Elijah, and just join the Wagner family in their day-to-day life in Africa.
Hannah loves this amazing opportunity to serve alongside the Wagners in Sierra Leone for two reasons. In the previous five years Hannah had been on six trips to Sierra Leone. During those years Hannah fell in love with the country, the culture, and the people there. Also for the four years prior to working with the Wagners, Hannah was a full-time nanny to three little boys (in between trips to Sierra Leone) and absolutely loved watching them grow and being a major part of their everyday life. With Hannah’s love for Sierra Leone, and her love for nannying, she was thrilled when she heard that the Wagners were looking for a nanny/teacher for their children in Sierra Leone.
LBT is seeking Lutherans to serve overseas through the ministry of Bible translation and Scripture Engagement. If you feel that God may be leading you towards missions or if you wish to make Bible translation donations for a missionary, LBT may have a place for you.
