Ariana Schulte spent the first 7 years of her life growing up in the West African countries of Togo and Ivory Coast. All these years later, she still has a heart for God’s people in Africa and the mission work being done there. This passion, combined with her natural love for languages, led her to consider a career with Lutheran Bible Translators.
Ariana graduated from Truman State University in 2017 with a bachelor’s degree in linguistics and a minor in French. This led her to take a job working as an English language assistant in Fumel, France. She enjoyed teaching the English language and American culture to high school and middle school students throughout the 2018-2019 school year. Her most recent travels took her to Ethiopia as part of the Crossroads team with LBT. She found this to be an incredible experience as she learned about the work LBT and their Ethiopian partners are doing through Bible translation, literacy, and Scripture engagement projects around the country. Ariana is honored to play a role in the work that makes this possible as a missionary intern with LBT.
