Voting members are entitled to nominate and elect people to the Board of Directors, and participate in any changes to the bylaws (our charter document). Voters ensure stability for our mission and select quality people to provide the highest level of oversight for this organization. Voters have demonstrated “skin in the game”, and have a passion for God’s mission and the involvement of others in his mission.
To qualify as a voter, you must have contributed to this ministry in the prior calendar year, be a member of a Lutheran congregation, and be at least 18 years of age. When you financially support Lutheran Bible Translators, you will receive a year-end contribution report toward the end of January. This bottom portion of that report includes a form for membership. The easiest way to register as a voter or renew your membership is to complete and return the form on your year-end tax document.
Each of us must complete the renewal process every year to continue membership.
Apply by email
If you prefer, you may apply by email to board.business@LBT.org. Please include the following words in your email:
- I wish to be a voter in 2019.
- I am a member of a Lutheran congregation, and I am at least 18 years of age.
Please give us your name and address so that we can make sure we have the right person when we look through the records. If you have a spouse who also wants to be a voter, give us both names and, if possible, separate email addresses.
We will look up your records to confirm your financial participation during the previous calendar year.
Thank you for your desire to be part of this amazing ministry.
