We are happy to announce our spring and summer schedule for mission recruitment!
April 1 – Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne, IN
April 8-10 – Concordia University, Seward, NE
July 21-24 – Higher Things at Calvin College, Grand Rapids, MI
August 5-8 – In Depth Investigation of Mission (IDIOM) workshop in Aurora, Illinois
LBT’s Recruitment Coordinator, Kory Fay, will be visiting colleges around the country to explain
and clarify what it means to be a missionary with Lutheran Bible Translators. Feel free to ask
those hard questions. He’d love to answer them!
So if you’ve ever asked yourself if you really have what it takes to serve as a missionary, be sure
to take this opportunity to find out. Reading multiple textbooks – or even the LBT website –
will not prepare you to step out onto the mission field. Meeting with Kory and spending time
with LBT missionaries who will share their firsthand experiences can help you decide if serving
overseas with LBT is a good fit for you.
Be sure to ask about IDIOM, a three day seminar that will introduce you to the translation
process, missionary lifestyle, cultural assimilation and so much more.
If these events are not in your area, or you are unable to attend, please email recruiter@lbt.org
for more information and be sure to follow us on Facebook.
